“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)

Romans 8:32 is a verse that can sustain you in any and every circumstance. Your God is big and He is worthy of being treasured. Do you see what is being said in this verse? If you fully grasp it, this truth will give you assurance on sunny days, as well as during any storm. God gave His Son. How will He not also give us all things? The answer is assumed. God certainly will give us all things, and it is easy for Him to do so!

What do you think would be the hardest thing for God to do? Think about that for a moment. He has done some amazing miracles in history. What do you think would be the toughest? The hardest thing for God to do would be to give up His own Son. That is exactly what He did. Therefore, everything else He does for us is easy by comparison! Raising the dead to life is nothing for God. Splitting the Red Sea was not hard for Him. Giving you all things, in Himself, is nothing for Him!

The Beauty of Romans 8:32

Think of it this way. Imagine a scenario where someone willingly, without you asking, gave you $1 million. Shortly after, you are driving around town together and decide to stop for a burger. As you pull into the drive-through, you realize that you forgot your wallet at home. You become anxious about asking this person to pay for your $1 burger. The anxiety would be unwarranted. If this person was willing to give you $1 million, they will certainly be okay buying you a $1 burger. This is Romans 8:32!

God has already given you something that is way more undeserved than a $1 million check. Jesus was nailed to a cross to save your soul. You are righteous in God’s sight, due to His own sacrifice. Nothing about the cross was earned or asked for. God, in grace that we do not even fully comprehend, decided to shed the blood of His Son. The result is salvation, which is the answer to our impossible dilemma of getting back to God. Therefore, do not be afraid of asking and trusting for something of much smaller value! He will certainly give us all things in Himself!

What are you trusting God for in this moment? Do you believe that He can do it? Do you believe that He can do it easily? Let today’s verse drop all worry and anxiety. God is for you. If He wasn’t, He would have not given His Son for you. This was not a meaningless sacrifice. No, it was on purpose and was His toughest act. Leading your life down the best path is easy for Him to do. You can trust Him in that. Do you believe it?

All Things Are Easy

Your God is big, dear friend. Your God is worthy of being treasured. When Romans 8:32 hits us, we start to live differently. Suddenly, we begin clinging to the cross more. We start having more confidence. We become more thankful. The anxiety about the burger fades. Why? Because we know that God has already accomplished the toughest thing for Him to do. Therefore, everything else is easy for Him. What a God we have!
